Enterprise Asset Management System (2014 – Present)
Oxford County is a regional municipality with several thriving communities located in Southwestern Ontario. Oxford has the best of both worlds: from the urban communities of Woodstock, Ingersoll, and Tillsonburg to the rural areas with state-of-the-art farming operations. With a population just over 105 700, Oxford County is a nice sized municipality with the luxuries of urban living.
In 2014 Oxford County decided to transition from their existing asset management system to OMS which they saw as a better fit to their needs. A major goal was to obtain quick buy in through the user friendly interface offered in OMS. OMS is currently in use managing work and assets for the signs, fleet and waste groups.
Future projects include implementing the remainder of the Roads Department along with the integration of their fuel and AVL systems.
The County intends on an Enterprise implementation of OMS that will see it integrated to related financial and asset management systems. OMS will allow the County to meet their goals of providing efficient service delivery to their customers.
