Enterprise Work Management System (2010 – Present)

Niagara Falls is a small, vibrant city located on the western bank of the Niagara River in the Golden Horseshoe region of Southern Ontario.  Home to the world-famous set of waterfalls, the Niagara Falls are a major attraction to millions of tourists yearly.  83 000 people call the city surrounding this natural spectacle home.

The City of Niagara Falls implementation of Cartegraph has been a phased approach starting in December 2010.

The first phase saw the implementation of Service Request Management across all operational departments handling both external and internal requests with an average of 15 000 requests being created and fulfilled each year.

Following this successful implementation, Fleet Operations and Material Stores Management were implemented in the early part of 2011, which included an integration with the Vadim Financials and WinFuel Fuel Management System.  In the second half of 2011, a similar system was implemented within the Transit Departments to support Fleet and Materials Management there as well as the AR process related to maintenance of external vehicles.

In early 2012, Work Management was rolled out to the Roads Operations Department, followed closely by the Forestry and Parks department and then in mid-2012, the Environmental Services Operations Departments.  This made up 90% of the operations staff across the city.

To complement the roll out of Operation and Work Management, Asset Management has been deployed for Road, Water, Sanitary, and Park Assets.  These assets are fully integrated with the Manifold GPS system employed by the City.
