Applied GeoLogics Inc. (AGL) was founded in 1997 in Guelph, Ontario and has supported public-sector organizations with work and asset management software and related services for more than two decades.

AGL’s experience goes beyond software implementation. Our team understands local government operations, infrastructure, asset management, work management, reporting, and the importance of maintaining accurate data through day-to-day business processes.

Dr. Ed Shewen, President and Senior Consultant of AGL, first became involved in the research and development of infrastructure asset management software solutions for local government organizations in 1985. His work helped shape AGL’s belief that reliable asset management depends on more than analytical tools alone. It requires current, accurate information supported by systems that are used as part of daily operations.

Since 2000, AGL has worked closely with Cartegraph and, later, OpenGov following the incorporation of Cartegraph into the OpenGov suite of government applications. Today, AGL continues to support Canadian public-sector clients with enterprise work and asset management implementation, configuration, integration, reporting, training, and ongoing support.

AGL remains focused on helping local government organizations improve operational efficiency, strengthen asset data, and make better long-term decisions.
