The City of Kingston Chooses AGL for GIS Integration

The City of Kingston approached Applied GeoLogics to integrate CartęGraph Cartegraph asset data from the Engineering Department into the Corporate GIS environment. Having completed a Business Process Review in 2008 for the City, AGL’s original recommendations were limited in scope to pavement related asset data; however, the recommendations ware were extended to include all asset classes within the CartęGraph system.

The project goals include:

-Integrating the extensive data resources currently in the Engineering CartęGraph Database and the Corporate Geodatabase
-Providing City-wide access to the Spatial and Attribution data stored in the CartęGraph system
-Consolidating duplicate workflows currently being undertaken in the GIS and Engineering departments to improve overall organizational efficiency
-Improving spatial data quality by adhering to Corporate GIS standards and by providing up to date reference data

AGL is committed to working with the City of Kingston to provide seamless data integration, followed by robust training to enable the City to maximize its productivity.
